So what's next after the Via Francigena? I've cycled to Santiago already.A pilgrimage to Jerusalem would complete the trio, but it's not a very practical option. Two chubby women travelling alone and in Lycra are more likely to cause an international incident in Syria than find a nice hostel for the night.
Our next trip was to follow 'The Way of Saint Martin' along the Loire to Tours. I've yet to dream up a new adventure, and would welcome your suggestions for mediaeval pilgrimage routes, in Europe or beyond.

I walked from Roncesvalles to Santiago in 2002.
In 2004 I walked from Orelans (actually, started in Paris but took the train to Orelans) to Roncesvalles. Practically flat all the way until you reach the south of France close to Ostabat.
Also walked the VF from Switzerland.
Am planning to do the St Paul's Trail next... or maybe the Shikoku pilgrimage... ummm... or, maybe the St Francis 350km in Italy... but then again, maybe not.
Have done the Wainwright's Coast to Coast across England. Great walk from Irish Sea to North Sea.

Oh dear! So may good trails - not enough time - not enough money - but we can dream, can't we?
